Uncovering Your Inner Beliefs Around Money

Before you can shift your money mindset you need to uncover your inner beliefs around money. A hypnotist brings to light someone’s phobia by taking them back to a childhood trauma, under hypnosis. Sometimes, once the person sees the event that caused the phobia, they can more easily overcome it. Sometimes this happens instantly. Our unconscious mind is vast and has much more control over our lives than we know. This is why, no matter how much we try on the “outside” of life, our inner saboteur (the unconscious mind) can keep us stuck in lack and limitation if it has a “bad program” which believes in lack and limitation more than in abundance and wealth.

Uncovering Inner Beliefs – Notice Your Speech, Self Talk & Self Worth

uncovering inner beliefs around money

One of the simplest ways to uncover your beliefs around money is to listen to yourself when you talk about it. Often, your closest circle (friends and family) will share similar beliefs. Take a note pad and pen and for a week notice how you talk about money, wealth, lack or limitation and self worth. Often money troubles begin with a poor sense of self worth, so include your self worth in this exercise. How do you talk about yourself? Are you overly modest and shy about your accomplishments? Or are you comfortable talking about yourself in a positive way which affirms your worth and ability to earn money, or create wealth? How do you feel about yourself, in general and particularly in a work setting?

For a long time, I struggled with work because I had a bad program/belief which was tied up with work and suffering in work. So I chose work I didn’t like, because I had a low sense of self worth.

Uncovering Your Inner Beliefs – Observing Purchases & How You Feel At Work

Another way to observe your mindset as regards to money is to become aware of how you feel while spending money. How do you feel while earning money? My old beliefs around earning money were tied up in suffering. I believed I needed to suffer in my work in order to earn money. However, this belief eventually burned me out. Once I had become comfortable financially, there was little motivation for me to work. My pattern was working to clear off debt! Then, once I had some money, I would slack off a little, and work less. It wouldn’t be until my debt had become a major problem when I started looking for work again. This pattern repeated itself until I became conscious of it. I eventually changed my belief around suffering for work, and was able to find work I found excited about again.

Meditation and Watching The Mind

Meditation is another exercise which can be useful when uncovering your inner dialogue and inner thoughts. Often, thoughts are tied up in your life circumstances and particularly with beliefs. Core beliefs are often the anchor for your thoughts and feelings which are the most prominent. Also, trauma from childhood can create some major core beliefs which can be hard to shift. Sitting in silence allows you to observe your thoughts and observe them without attachment. The more you can practice this, the more you’ll uncover about your inner mind and the thoughts that sit behind your inner beliefs. Pay particular attention to drama, or conflict around self worth, money, wealth and lack and limitation. This can be a major key to unlock your inner potential by observing limiting thoughts and beliefs which can keep you stuck.

Hypnosis

You can also try hypnosis for uncovering old trauma which may be keeping you stuck in lack and limitation. A hypnotist can take you into a deep state where you can answer questions about your unconscious mind which might be hard to reach otherwise.
